Information from America On Wheels Museum Regarding the COVID-19/Coronavirus Outbreak

March 14, 2020

We have been monitoring information and guidance regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the interest of the health and well-being of our visitors, volunteers, staff, and community, effective immediately America On Wheels Museum will be closed through March 31st. All tours and events scheduled during this time period will be cancelled. Our team will be available by phone or email to answer any questions regarding tours and visits. The Museum’s administration will continue to monitor information from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Lehigh County Health Department, and CDC and make adjustments to the time frame as necessary.

We understand that this is a frustrating inconvenience for our patrons and the Museum does not take this decision lightly. In accordance with evolving guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Governor of Pennsylvania, and the PA Department of Health, we felt it was in everyone’s best interest. We will continue to monitor the situation and rely on guidance from public officials and make further adjustments as necessary.

This is a very challenging time for America On Wheels Museum and our surrounding community. If you are able, please consider donating now to America On Wheels. Donations during this difficult time will help assist in meeting the cost of our daily operations, educational programs, and Free Weekend programming for children 12 and under when we resume normal operations. We appreciate your support and patience as we drive on in the weeks ahead. As always, the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff remain important to us and our goal is to continue to follow all safety procedures as information becomes available.

Treasure the day and stay well,
The Museum Administration
