Ways to Give
Your philanthropic support of America On Wheels can
take many forms, from outright gifts of cash or appreciated
securities to gifts of real or personal property through
your estate. Gifts may be made in support of the museum’s
annual operating campaign, the Filler’ Up Campaign, or in
support of a specific capital or endowment priority.
America On Wheels is delighted to be among the charitable
organizations you are considering supporting and is eager
to work with you to identify a gift plan that will best
meet your philanthropic and other planning priorities.
Outright Gifts
Outright gifts may be made in the form of cash, appreciated
securities, or other forms of real or personal priorities.
You can also make your gift to the museum through a multiyear
pledge payable over a period not exceeding five years. Gifts
for capital or endowment purposes may be made in this way
and combined with gifts to the America On Wheels Endowment
Fund.
Gifts of Real Estate or Tangible Personal Property
Many donors find that gifts of real estate or tangible personal
property best advance their larger philanthropic planning
goals. These gifts are valued at the appraised market value
on the date the property is transferred.
Bequests, Charitable Trusts, and Other Planned Gift
Techniques
Gifts to America On Wheels may be made through a will, charitable
trust, life insurance policy, or beneficiary designation
in a retirement plan. Estate commitments such as these provide
donors the opportunity to make significant charitable contributions
to the museum while taking advantage of current tax incentives
and meeting future needs of their families.
