8/23/17 – Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Megatron and Sonic, the megastars of the billion-dollar Blockbuster franchise “Transformers,” will be rolling into Allentown. These famous vehicles will be on exhibit at the America On Wheels Museum Sept. 9 through Dec. 31, 2017. This is the largest-ever “Transformers” vehicle exhibit.
The America on Wheels Museum invites you to join us on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. for an exclusive press tour of the “Transformers” exhibit before it opens to the public on Saturday (9/9). Ed Welburn, America On Wheels board member, retired General Motors vice president of Global Design and the curator of the exhibit, will lead the tour and provide background on the design and development of the vehicles displayed. Bumblebee, Swideswipe and Rollbar were designed under his leadership at GM.
